Arabella Hospitality Enters the Italian Hotel Market

Nicola Foschini takes over as CEO of the new Milan-based subsidiary and will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in the Italian market.

Munich/Milan, October 2, 2026. Arabella Hospitality SE continues its course of growth in Europe and is establishing a wholly owned subsidiary in Italy, headquartered in Milan. Effective October 1, 2026, Nicola Foschini will assume the role of CEO of Arabella Hospitality Italia S.r.l. With this local presence, Arabella Hospitality aims to specifically tap into Italy as its next growth market in Southern Europe.

Italy is one of Europe’s major hotel markets and offers Arabella Hospitality significant potential thanks to its expertise in the upscale to luxury segments, full-service hotels, and resorts, complemented by its golf expertise.

With this subsidiary under the leadership of Nicola Foschini, Arabella Hospitality is establishing an independent local organization. This organization is designed to combine local market knowledge and a strong network with the group’s international standards, build partner relationships, and drive the development of the Italian hotel portfolio.

Nicola Foschini: More Than 25 Years of International Hospitality Experience

Nicola Foschini, an internationally experienced hotel manager and CEO, is taking the helm of the new subsidiary. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the international hospitality industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at 753 Hospitality, an Italian investment fund focused on the acquisition and renovation of hotels. There, he was responsible for operational strategy, franchise negotiations, and team leadership. From 2022 to 2024, as Director of Business Development and Operations at Monrif Hotels, he managed three properties and spearheaded the launch of a new lifestyle hotel brand. From 2020 to 2021, as Chief Operating Officer of the Olympic Entertainment Group in Estonia, he oversaw the operations of 105 locations with over 1,000 employees. He began his career in the hotel industry in 2008 at Accor Italy, where he held various leadership positions over the course of eleven years, most recently as Vice President of Operations for Luxury and Upscale, with responsibility for a portfolio of 23 hotels.

In his role as CEO of Arabella Hospitality Italia S.r.l., Foschini combines his operational leadership experience with the perspective of a hotel investor. He will serve as the on-site point of contact for owners and investors and will be responsible for the development of the Italian business.

“I look forward to representing Arabella Hospitality in Italy and strategically expanding its presence from Milan. Italy is one of the most multifaceted and dynamic hotel markets in Europe. With our own subsidiary and an on-site team, we can respond more quickly to market opportunities and build sustainable, long-term partnerships with owners,” explains Nicola Foschini.

Italy as the Next Strategic Growth Market

Going forward, Arabella Hospitality aims to grow more strongly through management contracts. With the white-label model, the company contributes its operational expertise without itself being the owner or lessee of a hotel. In addition to this model, ownership and leasing remain important pillars of the business.

Arabella Hospitality has been doing business in Spain for decades. From its base in Mallorca, the group can efficiently integrate additional hotels on the Spanish mainland. The structures and experience built up over many years form an important foundation for establishing a presence in Italy and systematically tapping into the market there.

“Italy is the next Southern European growth market for Arabella Hospitality. With our expertise, we see considerable potential there. Nicola Foschini brings the experience and market knowledge we need to establish our Italian subsidiary. I am delighted that he is taking on this role and will drive our activities in Italy on the ground,” says Karl-Heinz Pawlizki, CEO of Arabella Hospitality.
