Arabella Hospitality expands in Ibiza: Spanish subsidiary signs first hotel management contract
The Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa has been acquired by Blasson Property Investments and will be operated by Arabella Hospitality España from April , 2026. It is located in Ibiza Town at Marina Botafoc and will reopen in spring 2027 following a €40 million renovation in spring 2027 under the Autograph Collection brand. In addition, the hotel will soon be home to LÃo Ibiza, a luxurious entertainment and dining club.
Munich/Ibiza, February 26, 2026. Munich-based Arabella Hospitality SE is consistently pursuing its strategic growth course: its Spanish subsidiary Arabella Hospitality España has signed a hotel management agreement (HMA) for the Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa. This is the company’s first management agreement and marks an important milestone in its expansion in the Spanish hotel market.
The contractual partner is Blasson Property Investments through its new business vertical, Veltaro, dedicated to the acquisition and development of upper-upscale and entry luxury hotels with a value-add strategy. Veltaro’s objective in this project is to enhance the operational performance of the Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa with the management of Arabella Hospitality, the new branding from Marriott’s Autograph Collection, and a full renovation of the hotel that will reposition it in the 5 stars segment.
The 175-room hotel is located in Marina Botafoc, one of the most prestigious locations on the Mediterranean island, right next to the marina in Ibiza Town. Arabella Hospitality will take over the hotel in April 2026 while it remains in operation. Following extensive renovation work by the property owner, the official opening as Ibiza Corso Hotel, Autograph Collection, and thus as part of Marriott International’s renowned lifestyle brand, will take place in spring 2027.
Strategic market entry
With the Ibiza project, Arabella Hospitality España is positioning itself as a professional white label operator on the Spanish hotel market for the first time and is specifically tapping into the attractive location of Ibiza. According to the Ibiza Sustainability Report 2024 published by the Ibiza Preservation Sustainability Observatory, the island recorded a total of 3.28 million visitors in 2024. Of these, 24.4 percent came from Spain, while 75.6 percent were international guests, mainly from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. Ibiza Airport connects the island with many major Spanish cities and important European metropolises throughout the year.
“With this first hotel management contract in Ibiza, we are reaching a significant milestone,” explains Karl-Heinz Pawlizki, CEO of Arabella Hospitality. “The HMA model offers both us and the hotel owners decisive advantages: thanks to our expertise as owners and hotel operators in Mallorca, we can extend our services as managers to other hotel owners. We are positioning Arabella Hospitality as a white label operator for upscale and luxury hotels and resorts. Ibiza is an important step in our growth strategy, which focuses on prime locations and international partnerships in our core markets of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain.”
Premium location with development potential
Marina Botafoc is one of the most exclusive addresses in the Mediterranean. The marina offers more than 400 berths for yachts up to 30 meters in length and is surrounded by over 60 luxury boutiques, art galleries, and excellent restaurants. The old town of Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Talamanca beach are within walking distance. A planned investment of €80 million in the redesign of Marina Botafoc will further enhance the attractiveness of the location.
The hotel itself combines resort character with urban infrastructure, a rare positioning in Ibiza. After renovation, it will comprise 154 rooms and suites. All accommodations feature private terraces overlooking the marina and the sea. Amenities include an all-day restaurant with a panoramic terrace, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar with a pool, and a pool area with a bar and sun deck.
The new Hotel Corso Puerto Ibiza will also be home to the new LÃo Ibiza venue. The renowned club is a combination of gourmet restaurant, cabaret show, and exclusive nightclub, and is one of the most glamorous nightlife experiences on the island. It is currently located in Marina Botafoc, right on the waterfront with views of the historic old town. Due to the redevelopment of the marina, the club will leave its current location and find a new home in the hotel.
Experience with the Autograph Collection and the Spanish market
Arabella Hospitality already has experience with the Autograph Collection. Since 2021, the company has been successfully operating the renowned Neues Schloss Privat Hotel Zurich under this brand. The Spanish subsidiary has been active in Mallorca since the 1990s and operates three 5-star hotels as well as four golf courses on the Balearic island. “We have an established organization in Mallorca with decades of expertise. The signing of the contract in Ibiza is the next step in our expansion in the Balearic Islands, and further contracts are already under negotiation,” says Francisco Vila, CEO of Arabella Hospitality España. “The Autograph Collection stands for individual character and unique guest experiences. With the Hotel Corso Puerto Ibiza, we are creating a magnet for international guests who want to combine experience-oriented luxury hospitality with the special atmosphere of Ibiza.”
Planned growth strategy
The signing of the contract in Ibiza is part of Arabella Hospitality’s ambitious growth strategy, which envisages a significant expansion of its portfolio in the coming years. The strategy is based on three pillars: prime locations and clear positioning, international partnerships with renowned hotel companies such as Marriott International, and independence as an active hotel operator. Using asset-light models, Arabella Hospitality focuses on developing profitable hotel concepts and concluding lease and management agreements without investing in real estate itself.
