Marc Wachal joins Arabella Hospitality in Munich

Arabella Hospitality SE expands its team in Munich. Marc Wachal has been Complex General Manager for The Westin Grand Munich and Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark hotels since 1 March 2024. He succeeds Paul Peters, who held this position for more than ten years before being appointed Vice President Operations of the company as part of the reorganisation of Arabella Hospitality.

Munich, 16 April 2024: Marc Wachal joined the management team of Arabella Hospitality in Munich as Complex General Manager on 1 March 2024. He brings his many years of international expertise in the first-class chain hotel industry and as General Manager to the management of the two Arabella Hospitality hotels under the brands of long-standing partner Marriott International in Munich’s Arabellapark.

Marc Wachal has spent his entire professional career in the hotel industry and, as a trained chef and business economist for the hotel and catering industry, has an enormous wealth of experience. His professional stations in Convention Sales and as F&B Manager have taken him to Germany, Switzerland and Australia. Since 1999, he has worked as General Manager for various international brands in Germany, including the Accor Group, Pullman Hotels and Dorint Hotels, before taking over as General Manager of the Munich Airport Marriott Hotel in 2019. Since 2022, he has held the role of Area Manager for the Southern Region and was responsible for the four hotels Courtyard by Marriott Munich Garching, Stellaris Apartmenthotel Munich Garching, Munich Airport Marriott Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Oberpfaffenhofen as well as the Science Congress Centre Munich.

As Complex General Manager, Marc Wachal is now responsible for the two hotels The Westin Grand Munich and Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark with a total of 1,070 rooms, over 2,000m² of spa area, over 4,800m² of conference space and around 300 employees.

Marc Wachal takes over the position from Paul Peters, who held this position for more than ten years before being appointed Vice President Operations of Arabella Hospitality in November 2023 as part of the realignment of the company. Sebastian Krebs, who accompanied Arabella Hospitality as Complex General Manager in Munich on an interim basis, will remain with the company in his previous role as General Manager at the Sheraton Hannover Pelikan Hotel.
