New management team for Schloss Fuschl businesses: Guido Graninger becomes managing director, Kristof Cool takes over as general manager

With Guido Graninger and Kristof Cool, Schloss Fuschl Betriebe GmbH is gaining two executives with extensive hospitality expertise. Graninger will take over as managing director in March 2026, while Cool will start as general manager at the Arabella Jagdhof Resort on Lake Fuschl in December 2025.

Hof near Salzburg, December 1, 2025. Arabella Hospitality SE is appointing two proven experts to the management team at its Fuschlsee location. On March 1, 2026, Guido Graninger will become the new managing director of Schloss Fuschl Betriebe GmbH, which operates the ultra-luxury Rosewood Schloss Fuschl hotel and the Arabella Jagdhof Resort am Fuschlsee, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, as well as the Schlossfischerei and other properties. Kristof Cool will start as General Manager at the Arabella Jagdhof Resort am Fuschlsee, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, on December 1, 2025.

Guido Graninger: Experienced financial expert takes over management

Guido Graninger (MBA) brings more than 20 years of management experience in finance, asset management, and investment control to the table. Most recently, as CFO at PFI Portfolio Asset Management GmbH, he was responsible for around 50 companies under a holding structure, including companies in the real estate, logistics, and hospitality sectors. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer at the Motto Group, where, in addition to financial restructuring during the coronavirus pandemic, he also managed hotels and restaurants and oversaw the “Weitsicht Cobenzl” project as the client’s representative until its completion.

A graduate in business administration and holder of an Executive MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, he has extensive expertise in project development, financial optimization, and the management of complex corporate structures. “The combination of historical heritage, sustainable management, and the highest quality of service makes Schloss Fuschl an extraordinary company. I look forward to working with the team to advance ambitious projects and further strengthen the Fuschlsee location,” said Graninger.

He succeeds Karl Berghammer, who left the company in November 2025 at his own request.

Kristof Cool: Return to Arabella Hospitality

Kristof Cool is returning to Arabella Hospitality, where he previously worked from 2004 to 2008 as night manager and assistant front office manager at what is now the Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark. Since then, he has gained more than 17 years of experience in management positions in the upscale hotel industry. Most recently, he was Cluster General Manager for two hotels belonging to the Halbersbacher Hospitality Group in Bavaria. Prior to that, he was Cluster Hotel Director at the Hotel Bayern Vital and the Hotel Aiterbach am Chiemsee. Cool expanded his expertise in revenue management over 13 years at Rocco Forte Hotels, where his roles included Regional Director of Revenue for Munich and Jeddah ( ) and supporting the opening of new hotels.

Strategic course setting for the future

November 27, 2025, the new employee residence in Hof near Salzburg was handed over, featuring 80 modern residential units. The sustainable building has its own photovoltaic system, environmentally friendly wood chip heating, and a connection to the historic Diana spring. It offers short distances to the hotels and modern living comfort. Further projects, such as the renaturation of the former golf course and the expansion of the Diana spring, underline the company’s commitment.
